colour wheel.

As a part of one of our visual research task, we were briefed to create a colour wheel using primary sources (through pictures/information taken straight from the source itself).

Having this task inspired me to venture into the city and look for pieces of design that involved these colours and the picture above is a collage of the pictures I had taken.

It was taken to my attention that colours are used to everywhere for different reasons.

Some of these reasons are:

- to create attention (maybe to warn about hazards, to lure the public to a certain object)

- to give a certain information, in which many people know (i.e green man on traffic lights means that pedestrians can walk)

- some are just designed this way for aesthetic reasons

Overall this was an interesting task that involved in-depth searching for colours as some are harder to find than others. From this I have also learned that including colour into a piece of design can bring it to life and I therefore challenge myself with future projects to include colours (as my style of design is more contemporary and minimal).

Hope you all enjoyed this short blog about my experience through tackling this visual task and I challenge you all to create your own colour wheel.
